Problem Solver » Jaw,  Grinding or Head Aches (Cerezen)

  • Headaches, neck, shoulder and back pain, as well as many other facial and jaw problems can often be traced back to the jaw joint. This means that we rather than your doctor may well be the best person to help ease them. If you suffer from any of these symptoms, it is worth speaking to us about it. We will examine your jaw, and the way in which your teeth meet together; if there are any problems we will advise you on the best way to overcome them.I have been recently diagnosed with Temporomandibular or TMD – can you help me?
  • If you have been recently diagnosed with Temporomandibular joint disorder, also known as TMD, we might just be able to help you. TMD is a group of painful conditions that affect the jaw joint and surrounding muscles and nerves. Although TMD disorder is not life threatening, the symptoms can be chronic and difficult to manage, which can be detrimental to quality of life. People with TMD disorders may exhibit a variety of symptoms including:
    • Jaw locking or limited movement
    • Pain in the chewing muscles and/or jaw joint soreness
    • Painful clicking, popping or grinding in the jaw joint when opening or closing the mouth
    • Aching pain in and around ears
    • Radiating pain in the face, jaw or neck
    • Jaw muscle pain and stiffness
    • Difficulty chewing or discomfort while chewing
    • Headaches or migraines
    • A change in the way the upper and lower teeth fit together
  • A relatively new product on the market known as Cerezen has been used to treat patients with TMD as opposed to traditional methods such as a bite guard.
  • What is Cerezen and how can it help with TMD?
  • Cerezen is a revolutionary medical device that effectively treats jaw pain and symptoms associated with teeth grinding and clenching (Temporomandibular Disorders or TMD). The two custom-made, 3D printed hollow inserts sit in each ear canal; the nearest access point to the temporomandibular joint. While the pain relief Cerezen provides is profound, the inserts themselves are almost invisible. With small tabs for easy insertion and removal, they’re comfortable to wear because they’re made only for you.
