Patient “J” did not like her smile, and came to Portobello Dental Clinic because she felt that her two front teeth were too big, and she wanted them filed down.
She had recently completed a course of whitening at another clinic, so there were still some areas of white opacity on her upper teeth (these can be a side effect, but they normally reduce in the weeks and months following tooth whitening).
During the consultation, when we measured the two front teeth, we discovered that they were 10.5mm long – the perfect size! The problem was not that the two front teeth were too big, but the adjacent teeth were too small. We decided to use cosmetic bonding to build up the two lateral incisors, you can see the result below!
Treatment: Cosmetic bonding of lateral incisors. Minimal cosmetic re-contouring of one central incisor
Treatment time: Just one appointment (after initial consultation) No anaesthetic required, almost zero enamel removal.
Treatment cost: €598 + consult
Treatment carried out by: Dr Nicholas Beirne.
